Graphic injury picture---beware!

So.... for Christmas my lovely husband bought me a mandolin to cut stuff with.........  It has a guide.  The guide was annoying, I didn't use it.  We really should use things provided for our safety! :-)

 Oh my poor thumb.  (Yeah, I know it isn't that bad, just whining.)  The worst thing is I am on call for work, it is my right hand. Good thing it isn't my "checking" fingers ;-)  but it will still hinder my ability to do things agilely.
